How Does Sound Travel?
Standard glass windows and patio doors provide minimal noise protection. As a result, sounds from cars, trains, airplanes, and other outdoor sources easily pass through. When sound waves hit the glass, they cause vibration, which increases indoor noise levels. Our double glazing retrofit system solves these problems with a unique, interior-mounted secondary window solution. Using a magnetic attachment, we secure a high-quality, virgin acrylic glazing panel to the inside of your existing window. This creates an airtight cavity between your original window and the Magnetite system, significantly reducing noise and improving insulation — all without replacing your existing windows.

This is the same process that airplanes use in their windows and why they are constructed this way. Magnetite acrylic window and patio inserts are made of 6mm virgin acrylic which does not vibrate at the same frequency that glass does.
