Magnetite provides high-performance retrofit double glazed windows across Canada through our coast-to-coast installation network. Developed in 1978 by energy physicist Kenneth J. Foster in conjunction with the M.I.T. Innovation Center, our system was inspired by the high-performance windows used on jet airplanes. By combining optical-grade acrylic and glass window inserts with a magnetic seal, we create a high-efficiency double glazing retrofit that significantly improves the thermal and acoustic performance of your existing glass.
Our custom window inserts are a non-invasive secondary glazing solution that attaches directly to the interior of your current frames. This allows property owners to reduce heat loss through windows, block harmful UV rays, and dampen outside noise without the cost or disruption of a full replacement.
